Comcast Digital Phone Service - Worth It??

I have had Comcast Digital since it was offered here in Chicago. My best guess is about 6 or 8 years. I have two lines with unlimited calling. The monthy bill is $69.00. Comcast gives you free with the service three upgrades CW, CID and others. I have only had a couple of outages in all these...

Is there anything in your lease regarding the installation of DBS dishes? If not what legal grounds would the landlord have to evict you?

HDTV Satellite Receiver to work in the South of France

Correct me if I am wrong. AC current in France is 110 volt 50 cycles. The US is 60 cycles. Another problem is the transmission type. NTSC is the North American standard. I think that Europe uses PAL transmission. It has been a long time since I have been to France but this was the standard then.

    Voom Dish for Dishnetwork

Iceberg I just received the SW21 today. I allready had the cable ran from the Voom LNB. I hooked it up and ran a switch check. All the 61.5 channels that I could receive came in. I did have to call Dish and have them authorize CBS HD. Another switch check was necessary to view the channel...

    Voom Dish for Dishnetwork

I did a switch check and it only states 500 quad. The dish is on the roof. From the ground it looks like either the Legacy Quad or Dish Pro Quad. In the link they both look alike. Is there a visible data plate on the LNB that will tell you which type it is? If so I can get a ladder out tomorrow...

    Voom Dish for Dishnetwork

I know this has been brought up before but I can't find the tread. I have Voom and Dish. The Dish LNB is a quad. The Voom LNB is a dual LNB with only one output being used for Voom. The other is not used. I am only interested in receiving the HD feed from New York. I live in Chicago so I can...

    Split Service Between Houses

My neighbor has a summer home about 150 miles away. He took one of his two receivers to the home. He had someone install a dish for him that he bought. He said that this was not a install by "E". He does not have any phone lines plugged into either receiver.

    HDTV Antenna

You may have a problem in a basement. Your probably surrounded by cement walls and steel support beams. The best bet is a outdoor antenna. If any of your digital locals are VHF forget the basement antenna. Try this link for local information. http://antennaweb.org/aw/Address.aspx If in...

    FCC Satellite Auction Results

Possibly for Alaska & Hawaii service. Also they could mirror their 61.5 feeds for the west coast. The dish is almost at the horizon on the left coast for 61.5. The 157 location would be great for Voom west of the Rockies subscribers.

    Receiving Canadian or European Programing

I subscribed to Starchoice for about two years. SC is a great source for US football. If your a hockey fan this is the way to go. Take your pick between Bell Expressvu or SC they are both great services. You may find it easier to install Expressvu than SC due to the type of dish SC uses...
