    Re: X1 Questions

Today, when they power on the TV and X1, there are just three dots on the screen. The guide works, but no channels come in. What does that mean? Rebooting does not fix it.

    Re: X1 Questions

Thank you. What a long cumbersome process that is going to be to clear up the guide. Will it default to that after it's set up? If it doesn't, I won't bother with it because they will never figure out how to get to it. The weather I am referring to is "local on the 8's" on The Weather Channel...

    Re: X1 Questions

Thanks again for the replies. Sorry that this thread got split in two! More questions - I can't figure out (for the life of me!) how to make a favorites list. I have Directv, and I am looking for something like what's in the photo in the next post. There HAS to be something like this. On the...

    Re: X1 Questions

That is how it is now. My dad refuses to use it because it changes channels "on its own." Coming from dish and antenna before that, they are used to locals being on their proper number. He doesn't like that channel 57 is channel 14 and changes "on its own" to 702 and gets overwhelmed. The...

    X1 Questions

My parents just switched from Dish to Comcast and they got the X1 DVR. A few questions: 1. The guide is horrendously cluttered and I can't seem to find an easy way to make them a favorites list to edit out all the repeated channels, premiums, music, sports packages, Comcast propaganda, and...

    TNT HD on HDMI

I don't understand why only 2 of the HD channels had this issue; it doesn't make sense to me. It also doesn't make sense to me why the HD feed of channels are separate from the SD on TWC. On Dish Network, they were mixed together and it was easy to change channels... oh well...

    TNT HD on HDMI

I figured it out... I had the TV set for "Screen fit" and some setting deep inside the box set to "stretch" because if I had it set on "normal" the 4x3 channels were smushed in the middle of the screen. (Not 4x3 with the black side-bars, but literally smushed inside of the 4x3 area, creating...

    TNT HD on HDMI

Does anyone else with TWC have issues with TNT HD? Whenever I go to TNT HD (channel 1301 on TWC Triad/Burlington, NC), it shows up on the screen with proper resolution/aspect ratio on the TV for 1 or 2 seconds, then the screen flashes off, and comes back and for another 1 to 2 seconds, it's...
