    Basic question from complete noobie - re: burning to DVD

    It will record at the same speed as the show. Also when trying to record a movie it was blocked via some kinda of contect protection. Not sure how considering I was using simple RCA cables from the HD DVR to the DVD burner. Hmmm anybody?

    Some of the fees for a POTS line wouldn't apply to VOIP, but the $13.50 is very high compared others(VOIP). That'll eat up your savings.

    Not to sound like a ingrate considering we haven't even gotten these yet, but its time to start talking what HD channels are on the horizon. Sci-Fi is #1 on my list. These 15 additions didn't really do much for me.

    I didn't see the VOOM channels in the TW line up. So we have a leg up in that regard. I really enjoyed all on the Planet of the Apes movies in HD this week. Some of the best PQ to date. There is no need for all of the HBO's in HD, that space could be used to serve a broader range of selection...
