If you're a hockey or basketball fan, don't do it. MSG and FSN are not carried in HD on FiOS. Otherwise, FiOS has everyone beat, hands down.

I'm a hockey fanatic. As much as I hate the Dolans, if I lived in CVC territory no way I would switch to FiOS. No MSG HD, FSN in HD or VS/Golf.

They can't legally refuse to negotiate with VZ. Whether VZ wants to pay what the others are paying is whole different story.

Add me to the people that hate that display. I had the same HD STB with my cable company but the ability was built in to turn it off.

It's not gone....it's broken. I watched a recording of Cold Case last night and it worked perfectly. A couple days ago it didn't work at all. It comes and goes.

They didn't kill it on purpose. It comes and goes for me. They're well aware of the problem and working on a fix.

And don't forget to run coax to the router.

It's a re-alignment to get all of the regional lineup the same. Hopefully after that, they'll start adding some more content.

Well, that was buried quite nicely in there. Thanks. As long as we're on a roll here, with the cable company's software, I was able to completely turn off the front panel when the box was off. I know it sounds silly, but that clock lights up my entire bedroom. Any way you know of to kill it?

Well, it took the majority of the day, but after running home runs and replacing some other cabling to the HD sets everything is working nicely.

VZ is doing TV installs in a lot of areas of NJ. They're not advertising it, but anyone with fiber in the area should keep checking the www.verizonfios.com website. I plugged my number in last Thursday and I had the great pleasure of being first out of my CO with TV.

May I suggest calling VZ. IME, their sales people are very well trained and very courteous.
