Its not the weight of the dish (for the most part) that calls for a good pipe to mount on but the wind load of the dish when tge wind is blowing ... and tge concrete foot too. If the wind is normally low and you dont mind occasional signal loss then go with a small/light pipe .... it always...

I would take it anyways if I had the time to do it. You might come across a good mount with bent dish .... Iv taken down 2 in the last nonth that i couldnt budge the mount on the pole .... both have been sitting with oil now. Next step will be to use oxy/acet on it to get it hot -- then dry ice...

Yea ... had hoped that there was some reference from the numbers .... i dont remember seeing a mark depicting the noise figure .... i figured it migh of been based on the voltage applied to the internal first stage amp. That does affect the noise figure and gain .... in case it was bad i wanted...

Its been over a week for the sears/radioshack 10' mount has been wet with WD40 -- sprayed into the bolts that tighten the mount to the pole. Yesterday when i removed most all of the mount i took the 3lb hammer to the welded nuts on the mount. Still didnt budge after prying in a twisting fassion...

I dont have a blow torch setup ... just propane torch -- no oxy. Up on a hill it was just too windy and was sprinkling almost the entire time. I have a 3lb hammer that beat on the welded nuts and mount body ... didn't budge. I'll have to get it somewhere dry and not windy and take a blowtorch or...

One of the fisrt things done was to remove the actuator. Owner wanted it and took it off before i got started .... the mount is rusted to the pole and wont spin. The elevation is rusted in place too.... gona haft to cut tge pole and lean it over or get a taller ladder Sent from my SM-G930V...

So far the bolts were not TOO hard to loosen .... even the bolts of the mount .... Though the mount is rusted to the pole and the elevation portion is rusted togeather as well ..... I was planning on disconnecting the elevation turnbuckle and let the dish rock over so that i can get the uper...
