well since i use a c band and ku dish set up, i use an old anolog rceiver to drive the bud and the openbox to drive the ku dish. this way i can have the best of both worlds on one receiver. im not sure if a vbox will work and drive both bud and ku set up at the same time.

all i can say is look around some back roads and try to score a free bud and you wont be dissapointed. i was once like you and didnt wanna spend alot of money to test the hobby out. but after many years of finding great channels and feeds id cash in my subs if the wife would let me.there is...

well it looks exactly like the bud i have in my yard. i just got a 6 ft'er unimesh dish but the guy didnt give me the pole.im having hard time finding a pole thats cheap.

Give these transponders a try from my open box. 55.5 w 3760 H 2962 63% signal 58 w 3840 H 27690 70% signal now im pointing into a tree with no leaves and thats the best signal i can get without screwing up signal on my other sats.

i for one dont think its possably to run 2 motors off one receiver but i could be wrong. when my openbox gets here next week im going to hook up my 39' motorized ku dish to port #1 and my c band dish to port #2. the receiver can move the motorized ku band dish and ill use the old anolog receiver...

maybe try adjusting the skew a little bit. i done that and it brought my signal up over 10%. its just a idea but it never hurts to try.

it seems as though if i wanna increase signal at either end of my arc i have to adjust the dish up or down to increase one end but then the other end looses signal.also when my dish goes as far west as it can, the actuator arm is at its limit by the time it hits 131w.when the dish is at its peak...

here is my question about the actuator arm. if your arm has slipped on the mounting bracket lets say about 1 inch will this cause the dish not to track the arc properly.ive got my arc set from 87w (signal about 40%) to 131w (signal about 30% to 40%) neighbours tree just catches my 131 sat. now...

well i have great signal from 83W to 99W but after that i cant seem to get a blip of signal from there west. i also tried hitting some southern sats but no signal anywhere.hell i cant even get signal at 101w and that weirds me out cause with signal at high 80's on 99w i should see something, right?

what should the skew of lnb be set to for 83w. i cant seem to peek it more then 65%.

now im not real familar with the c band terms, so what do you mean by the mount. is that the big bolt that raises the dish up and down and if so i could only get 65% signal for 83w.
