    hf splitter

I got mine from Sadoun - they worked great when I was using them.

Just saw a article with a C band in Plastic bucket and pipe

This never fell over on me while I was playing with it: Of course I later planted it in a huge glob of cement I hope to never need to remove.

    Time shift on a DSR922 ?

I had a Series 2 Tivo paired up with my 922 for a while. The Tivo didn't control the 922 so I had to set timers for scheduled recordings. It was kind of a pain but it worked. Of course the video quality was nothing short of amazing with the 922 as a source. I used a Dish network lineup and...

    5ft dish, good for C-Band?

FWIW, I was subbed to 4DTV on a 5' mesh. It wasn't pleasant, but it worked. For the guide It would DC lock on G1 using the stored position most of the time. It was very seldom that I manually had to 'kick' it. I started with an analog Starz sub and if I remember the channels were on G9...

    Venturing into 4DTV

You could always set the 905 for C/Ku LNBs, use a DC block, and let the DVB box handle the polarity.

    Venturing into 4DTV

Now that I think about it.. I did an online re-hit after a reset. They had me check the trip counter to be sure the box was getting hit. Once you're subscribed you can re-hit yourself with NPS: http://www.callnps.com/rehits.htm The channel maps I think will come down automatically. I'm...

    Venturing into 4DTV

It sounds like the 905 is kind of nice slaved to a DVB box. I was wondering if you were going to get any complaints about the positioner. I wasn't sure if the 905 had any tie-in to the motor control on the analog box it's usually slaved to. I sometimes miss my 922. I wouldn't think you need...

    X-4 Ku Package on 4DTV

Isn't the guide still on G1-3 though? For me G5 was a lot easier to DC lock on than G1, especially when I was running my smaller 5' Prime focus dish. It would just so barely do it. When I was having to fine tune to DC lock with my small dish I'd tweak G1-5 for best picture and give it a shot...

A pic of what you have would be a HUGE help here. Does any of this look familiar?

what kind of pole do i get?

Mine is setup this way and it hasn't budged. I did it so I could shave off the studs and bury it if I move. #1 its quick & easy to take down, and for 2 - it's re-usable ;).

    The Tube NO AUDIO

Because your TV (if digital) or a DBS Set top box decodes and down-converts the AC-3 to 2-ch stereo. If analog they already down'converted it before tranmitting. For some reason (likely cost) this isn't important to the FTA box buildiers.

    4dtv ???

Make sure you are using the X4 tile unless you were trying with a C-band dish. Double check that it's setup for an LNBF and has the L.O. set right. Even after all of that, you still may not see any channels, but you should be able to get a DC lock on X4-4, X4-5, X4-6, X4-7, X4-9 etc. Basicly...

Problem with HT System VIII Plus and Vbox II

Hmm Thaty certainly sounds like a bad DiSEqC switch (assuming the reciever is set to the correct port). I've been using the same DMS DiSEqC switch for 3 systems now - lol. It just works. The good news is that DiSEqC switches are cheap :).

    It's worth a shot! Shawn

Problem with HT System VIII Plus and Vbox II

That'll work too, but since the analog box isn't controlling anything it just adds more connections :). Just be sure that your VBOX is connected between the Pansat and the DiSEqC switch.

Problem with HT System VIII Plus and Vbox II

Yeah, I'd leave 22k off. That switch is fine. Is this how you are setup? (see attachment)

Problem with HT System VIII Plus and Vbox II

With the VBOX 1 I found it a lot easier to fine tune the actuator count via the VBOX. The Pasnat just stores the current position as P##.

Problem with HT System VIII Plus and Vbox II

USALS works with the DiSEqC motors because it knows exactly what degree from TS it's at for any given position of the motor. With a polar mount / actuator 500 counts could be vastly different on different mounts / actuators / whatever. The VBOX would have ot be smart enough to figure it out...

Problem with HT System VIII Plus and Vbox II

Hehe - this is like dejavu! Get to know Channelmaster. You can reclaim positions 1-25 via channelmaster. Via the reciever it only lets you choose 26 on up. USALS won't work because it has no idea what position the actuator is at with relation to the Clark belt. One of the HTS boxes I...

Problem with HT System VIII Plus and Vbox II

since it's slaved.... it doesn't matter. Polarity would be controlled by the Pansat so all your need is the frequencies. You should just need 1 C-band, and 1 Ku band. This is all from about a year ago so I may be hazy ;).

True - I remember SBS 6 being Ku analog central. Lots of college games.

    Satellite format question

When I had my Ststem 70 it had the same deal. I guessed and made sure the analog channels jived with Lyngsat. If not, I tried another. If someone has a cross-reference already done up, very cool. Fortunely there isn't much in the way of Ku analog so they shouldn't be much bother.

Problem with Vbox II from Sadoun

Position memory is more of a problem with your receiver than with the Vbox :). I think the dish size limitation is kind of silly on this part. It is a guestimate. The only factor is how much current you're sending down the wire to run the actuator. I hope it works out good for you!
