Hi all, I am slowly learning the parts of a BUD, but since I got this BUD, I have some trouble understanding how it all fits together. I have already put together the actual dish. Now there is the metal ring behind it that clamps onto the dish... as well as the part that slips onto the pole...

Can anyone please explain to me how polarity is controlled on C-band? I know on my KU/DVB system the DICEQ switch controles it, but on c-band?

Ok, so if I do not need this ring, then I am wonder about something else. The 4 poles comming from the edge of the dish, to the center where the feedhorn connects... what do they connect to by the feedhorn? Should they not connect to some ring?

ok, so it still pulls that 36v from the receiver?

So, unlike the diceq motor on my ku that pulls power from the receiver over coax, the actuator (and motor) will need 120v?

So if I connect the BUD as a fixed dish, I just connect the BUD to one input of a dieceq switch? If I later decide on connecting the motor and evrything, do I need power at the dish? or does it get power from the receiver/gbox ?

what is the difference btwn a gbox and a vbox?
