    Get a new LNB, trim the tree, look over the dish and if still looks plum then it's fine. Could do some rust clean up. As for the moving jack check this out Help with C band satellite dish install (Any help would be appreciated) Welcome to Satellite Guys and good luck with getting the dish going.

    It begins...

    anti-seize and gloves. Coat up all the bolts. Someone may want to pull it apart again someday and that someone might be you. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

    Setting up my C band, still have (more) questions

    Two things. Do you a single meter? A basic one like my avatar works wonders and is low cost. Does the sat have a clear view of the sky? Point the dish around the clearest part of the sky and use the meter to get the strongest signal. Scan it in and like FTAPA said compare the results to...
