    Performance is not diminished because they are designed as offset dishes.The purpose of the offset is so the feed does not block the signal from getting to the reflector when dealing with the tiny ku/ka wavelenghts.

    When you blind scan with the V7,don't scan for "radio" channels.Those sats with the hundreds of radio channels will lock it up every time.

    All work fine here,no more than a second or 2 to lock in. My only issue is MeTV screwed up their clock again,have to set the time manually in the V7.

    Covers are great,for bees/wasps/spiders,they add weight,collect snow,which can be a problem if you have a button hook mount.Other than plastic bags I don't use covers.Covers are just for looks,in my opinion.

    Well like most things,without the remote you can't do much.The Uniden is also likely to have issues,bad capacitors,oscillators off freq etc.It is old after all.
