I am curious, has anyone ever tried to receive c-band signals with a 120cm offset dish?

I have found a couple of popular satellite equipment websites that sell 120 cm offset dishes with a special offset c-band lnbf that is a voltage (13v-18v) switched linear polarity.

these sites claim that decent c-band is obtainable from birds with a minimum of 40 db/eirp.

I know that in reality a four foot dish is too small for good reception in lousy weather, but has anyone got this setup and if so, how does it perform?

I have read that offset antenna are far more efficient than prime focus type antennas, therefore is the efficiency and kelvin temp improvement enough to offset the minimal reflector size?
