I'm sorry if this question has been answered already but here goes:

I have a dish 500 on my roof right now. Next month I'm moving and I have to take the dish down. The place I'm moving to already has a 500 hooked up. It's a legacy.
I was wondering if I could hook both of the 500s up to look at the 105,110,119,121.
Or if I would have to call dish and pay for a super dish and be forced to make a decision on whether or not I wanted the super dish for either the 105 or the 121.

I'm also planning on hooking up another dish 500 later in the future to look at the 148 & 157 once they get a satellite up in that slot.

Thanks in advance for all your help
Danielle

Welcome aboard Danielle!

Sorry, ain't no way to do what you want - for at least 3 reasons:
  1. Dish 500 looks at 2 birds that are 9 degrees apart.
  2. Dish 500 uses DBS LNBFs 105 & 121 require FSS LNBFs
  3. A Dish 500 is too small to drag in a FSS bird.

Why are you looking for both 105 & 121?

Finally, you COULD use your second Dish 500 to hit 148/157 (if visible to you) as they are DBS and 9 degrees apart. BTW, there ARE birds in those slots now - there's just not much content there.

Thanks

If I can't use one dish 500 to look at the 105 & 110. And the other dish 500 to look at the 119 & 121, How would you suggest that I bring in all 4 locations using the minimal amount of equipment.

Thanks

For the minimum amount for both 105 and 121 you will need 2 superdishes, and a DPP44 switch. You can have one superdish pick up the 119/110, the other one just do either 121 or 105 and not connect 119/110.
