Forbes magazine has released it's annual list of NHL franchise values, this one entering the current 2003-2004 season.
The New York Rangers have reclaimed the top spot from Detroit with its franchise value at $272 million. Dallas is a close second while Detroit fell to fifth place.
The Ottawa Senators had the biggest increase (23%) in its worth to jump to 21st place at $117 million. The Minnesota Wild had the 2nd-highest increased worth (20%) to climb to 11th place at $166 million.
The worst decreased value of a team was the Nashville Predators losing 24% and dropping to $101 million, good for 27th in the NHL.
