2005 Masters

Anyone in Atlanta? Emailed channel 46/cbs here and they said the Masters will be in HD Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sunday. Can't wait!!

Beware of golf in HD. CBS televised the PGA Championship in HD...sort of. The still cameras around the greens were usually HD, but the handheld cameras that followed specific players were not. The difference was noticeable.

However, this is The Masters. I didn't have HD for the Masters last year so I don't know CBS had it setup. Hopefully they cover it right and give us HD everywhere.

This is probably going to be the only HD golf this year. The viewers comments of how they did it last year were received and no one has said they'll sponsor it again....

The Masters weren't sponsored last year because of the controversy over not allowing women to join the club! There was no lack of money and enthusiasm over the tournament being in HD. CBS did a good job and they have several more tournaments scheduled in HD this summer
