We upgraded from cable to Dish a few months ago when Son#1 was away at college. Since he is away most of the year, we didn't opt to put a joey in his bedroom. He is now home for the holidays and wants TV in his room. We have 2 hoppers (living room and master) and 3 joeys (son#2 bedroom, den and mancave).

What is the best option to temporarily get satellite in Son#1's bedroom? I don't necessarily want to move a device since they are all used in the rooms they are in. But they aren't used all the time so is there a way to share the signal to the TV in his room when not in use. Seems i have seen some posts about doing this using RF modulator or something but not sure. First choice would be to share signal from one of the devices without moving it, 2nd choice would be move a joey to that room. All our cables run to a main panel in the master where they connect to the node. How difficult/easy would this be to do?

Any advice is appreciated.

Moving a Joey between rooms would be relatively straight forward. You can't have any unterminated cables in a H/J system so you would need to switch cables at your distribution panel, or terminate the unused line in the room where the Joey is not.

If the TV in #1 Son's room is SD, then an RF modulator connected to one of the Joeys or Hoppers might do the trick.

If the TV in #1 Son's room is HD, you could use an HDMI splitter (about $30)

and run a HDMI cable between rooms. Long HDMI cables are expensive (figure about $150 for a 50 footer), so HDMI over Cat 5 or 6 might be a workable alternative. Adapters good for 165 feet run about $70:

You're up to the cost of buying a 4th Joey so that's an option. You could add it to your account just for months when your son is home. That adds $7/mo but only when it's needed.
