Can this dish be motorized? http://www.cyberestore.com/inch11-m... these dishes?if so how well does it perform?

A few members have had success motorizing the 1M Channel Master dishes. The main thing you want to do if you attempt this is to remove as much weight from the dish as possible. The factory mount is too heavy for a DiSEqC motor. I like the way Stogie5150 has modded his CM 84E's (similar in size and weight to the 1M mold) for use with an H-H motor.

Here's one of the best threads discussing those mods.
(but of course, there are others, too)
However, you might want to consider a more solid motor, such as the STAB HH120.
Note that its shaft goes up instead of down, so any custom mount you make would need to take that into account.
The fabrication tricks in the above thread are just a treasure of imaginative ideas.

Using the Moteck H180 to move the dish is another option.
However, to drive the motor, you'd a controller such as an old C-band receiver, or a more modern V-box.
(you'd need to aim the dish down about 22º as explained in the thread below)

Last but not least, if you were to find or build a proper mount, one of the jackscrews would move the dish just fine.
See pictures TurboSat posted in his thread, where he's taking this approach.
Again, you'd need a similar controller as the Moteck H180, above.

jDue to the weight, best option would be to use it with a polar mount. You might check out Down Electronics to see if they still carry polar mount for CM offset dish.
If you go for a Diseqc motor, I recommend to get a good one such as Stab 120.
