4K Mini Problems This Morning

Wouldn't start.

After a hard restart said my TV isn't Directv Ready and I need a mini (which of course is what I have!)

Unplugged everything, did a power flush, reset main receiver, got it working but remote not working receiver (works everything else though like my audio receiver) . The green light doest flash like it usually does when operating receiver.

I can control receiver with my phones DirecTV app though.

Any ideas

You mean my remote will magically start working again sometime later?

Ok, had to reset remote back to factory settings, then reprogram.

Very strange how all this went awry over the course of about 8 hours overnight between when I turned it off around midnight last night and turning it back on this morning about 8:00.

You can force it to refresh the OS on the mini by holding down the on / off button on the front and hitting the red-reset button on the side, keep holding the front button until it flashes yellow, then release. It will fully boot up and ask you to download firmware. This will refresh it and everything should go back to normal.
