As I get older I have more trouble understanding the logic behind new technology, either that or more trouble understanding how the younger folks write.

So, can someone explain to me why anyone would want to access the GSM and CDMA networks at the same time? Did the author actually mean be able to access the GSM or CDMA networks as needed with one phone?

I suppose Apple stock will nose dive since the new iphone is called the 4S and not the 5. Between that and Apple buying ipad2 parts from Brazil, we may see another buying opportunity for those who haven't made Apple a part of their portfolio yet.

Another big plus would be that VZ customers could roam in Europe with their iphones.

It's the fifth generation of iPhone regardless of the name, so there can't be an iPhone 5 next year and if there two models announced next week, it makes no sense calling one the iPhone 5 because they would both be fifth generation.

I think we will see one model either called 4s, 5 or something else. Next year would be the iPhone 6.

I'm surprised that there apparently won't be an iPod refresh this year.

Dual SIM is the next step (around for a year or so).
It would be a perfect companion to "dual personality" phones...
Nokia is playing in the dual-SIM market, too...
To cope with the competitive challenges, Nokia introduced so-called dual-SIM phones that allow users to have two phone numbers, a popular feature in emerging markets. It is also working to close the gap with smartphones by launching feature phones with touch capability and a keypad.

Diogen.

Their numbering was always a little off anyway, so I don't think it will matter. There was the original iPhone, The iPhone 3G (Generation 2), the 3GS (Generation 3) and the iPhone 4 (Generation 4) What company has been totally faithful to number schemes anyway?
