522 records all episodes?

I've set my 522 to only record new episodes of some of my shows but it keeps recording ALL episodes . Why doesn't it just record new episodes??

To the 522, 'New' episodes are ones from the CURRENT YEAR. So if you tell it to record 'new eps' on say, VH1 or MTV (know how they replay stuff OVER and OVER?), it'll get every epsisode, though it's not supposed to get repeats that are already on the HD.

I don't know why they can't have the box read the info tag for the word "new". Oh, well...

Thanks Bizzach . I did think that it looked for the word new so I couldn't understand why it keeps recording all the shows . I watch a lot of TLC, Discovery etc. and they do repeat their programs often . What a pain .
