522 UHF Pro vs IR remote

The TV2's UHF remote seems to be really fast and responsive to button pushes. Where as TV1's IR remote is slow, slow, slow. using the 30 sec skip button turns out to be useless unless I take my time and pay attention to the timing of the button pushes.

If I got the UHF Pro remote for TV1 will it be like it is for TV2 now. or is the nature of the beast with the 522's?

I've noted that the longer the 522 is on, the more sluggish the guide/controls.

Shutting it off or resetting it seems to speed up funtions significantly.

UHF on TV1 makes no difference in speed.
