My 522 has developed a wierd problem. After replacing the LNB, new connectors on cables and lots of messing about I am getting a replacement box.

If you go to the signal strength screen tuner 2 will intermittently drop to zero, then go red or zero signal strength.

swapping the tuner leads is meaniungless, its always tuner 2.

on a brite note the rep from the mc keesport call center was friendly and helpful, and very knowledgable. Plus they gave me a credit without my asking.

I told the rep things have improved a LOT. :yes

I have to make some time to relocate my 61.5 dish. It got bent when I trimmed a big tree this spring. At my wifes request its getting moved to the rear of the house.

Well knowing some trouble shooting from my electronics background when you said that swapping the leads did not cause the problem to move to the other tuner that tells me its inside the box most likely a bad tuner you will need to have the receiver replaced.
