I've been hearing on Air America that apparently there were "transmission problems" last night between 8pm and 8:30, which just happened to be the same time that 60 Minutes was airing a negative report about George Bush's National Guard service.

Direct TV is owned by Rupert Murdoch, a big time conservative who also owns the right leaning Fox News Channel.

(Conservatives - I said "right leaning", not a tool for the Bush administration. I love conservatives! I don't like "neocons".)

I'm a (mostly happy) Voom customer and have never posted over here before - WASSUP!

I don't see how this could be a conspiracy coming from Rupert. 60 minutes isn't broadcast on FOX. It's a CBS show.

If the transmission issues were only on D*'s transmissions of its various CBS feeds, that would be worth noting, especially, as it would have to involve the uplinks of every CBS affiliate on D*.

Another longshot possibility is that CBS uplinks their signal to a News Corp controlled satellite, however, I don't think that is likely the case. Anyone know through which sat CBS and their 60 minutes broadcast are beamed?
