Regarding the 6100, which comes with a UHF remote, can it also be controlled with an IR remote? I ask because I have an expensive IR programmable remote (MX-700) and do not want to upgrade to UHF remote. Obviously, it can not learn but if I program it for a generic Echostar unit, will it control the 6100?

Ok, I have dish (for voom) and an 811
I am installing a 6100 (811 clone?)
Anyway, I control the 811 with an ir remote on channel 1
Can the 6100 use an ir remote and can I set it to use channel 2?
I have a harmony 880 remote and it could learn all the ir remotes items on channel 2 from a remote, so that should work ok.
Also, where can I get a 6100 ir remote?
