HI guys My 622 started freezing on me tonight. I was watching an OTH HD channel and at 800 tonight right when CSI was supposed to fire the DVR the machine froze. I did a reset...several times and a hard reset several times. NO luck. The machine started looping. the whole loop was about 5 minutes. At some point I interrupted the loop and went into the dvr. I found 10 to 15 1 minute recordings and none of my recordings had been made correctly. So I cleared out the 1 minute recordings and the unit seems to be functioning properly now. I saw another thread about the 622 temperature and mine runs hot 129 max 105 low and an average of 116. Seems very high to me.
This ferreting seems to me to be HD (hard drive) related. A guess on my part.
I do have a replacement coming from dish.
My problem is that now that the machine is working if I send it back and it works Dish will charge me for not sending a broken machine to them. What to do. The 622 does seem sluggish. I really want it to work I also really want it to work in the long term. What should I do about the 622 Dish is sending me?
