How can I manually do a program guide update for my 622? Also when unit is off, it still records timed programs, right? This is the first DVR I've ever had that can be turned off.
If it is in standby, it should update the guide on it's own. Only way to force it is to do a soft or hard reset, which would interupt the dvr recording so you probably don't want to do that at least while it is recording.
You're not really turning it off. It just goes into standby, so it records programs you've set up to record, and to download updates overnight as well as EPG data.
