is anybody recieving signal from Star One C2 satellite?
If you do, please wat type of equipment are you using?
Can linear standard lnb work or it has to be a universal lnb?

Thanks

Not in North America. That Satellite it beamed toward mainly the East coast of South America and Brazil.
If you are in that area you need a Universal LNBF to receive all that is on that Satellite.

You need a "wide" c-band LNB for the DVBS and DVBS2 stuff and a receiver that can do PAL on the C-Band side. The Ku side is all scrambled, but you would need a universal LNB to get it all. The satellite is pointed at South America and can't be seen in the north. The US is definitely out of the footprint.

Thanks for your quick response @Magic Static and @KE4EST
But why will some satellite only work with universal LNB and not Standard?
Some satellite will work with both like 97W as long the receiver allows.

A standard will work on this satellite. You just won't get the three transponders with a frequency below 11700. A universal has wider coverage of frequencies down to 10600.
