811 Rear Panel Inputs Poor Quality

Finally got to looking at some programs from my FTA sat receiver hooked up thru the 811's rear panel inputs. Grainy, low res picture (I am used to S-video from that unit). Also some evidence of ac interference (I think) with a dark area moving sequentially across the screen. The Pansat Mpeg receiver is sitting on a shelf just below the 811. Anyone else had this problem?
