OK, so I caved. I'm putting an OTA on my roof.

Here's my question. I am going to have the feed going into my 921. Will I still be able to use the DVR functions on the channels I receive through the OTA?

Also, and quick how-to's on scanning and adding the OTA channels via the 921?

TIA!

If you subscribe to Dish locals the 921 will have the guide data for the OTA channels.

You will have full DVR functions on the OTA stations.

Just go in the menu system setup local channels and scan for the digial channels. Then if you are missing some you will have to go look up the broadcast channel for them (check out antennaweb.org or your local station's web site), pick add dtv and put in that channel number and see what your signal strength is. You might have to fiddle with the antenna to get it to lock in.

It depends on your market and your location to know how strong the signals are. In my case only 1 station broadcasts in reasonable power here, the rest are all low power just do the minimum the FCC will let us use and keep our license.
