A bit confused about 522

I was under the impression that the 522 was able to record one show while you are watching another one. I seem to have lost this ability. The only thing I can do is record it on tv2 which is downstairs and is a pain to watch it from there.

Any recording in the 522 is viewable from either TV location.

Also, you need to review all your preferences - especially if you've gotten the update that allows 'single' mode. You may want to make some changes to your settings.

Set your recording preference to record on TV2. What's happening is you hit "record" and it defaults to the *current* TV, i.e. the one you're watching. Once it's recording, you can't change channels or the recording will get cancelled.

Hit MENU, 8, 6, Enable, TV2, Done

Yup. The two minute warning count down pops up on TV2 if its in use. If someone doesn't cancel the recording the TV will change channels to record the timered event.
