Operating on the theory that more is more, ABC will offer up two hours of "Dancing with the Stars" every week starting in January.
The network announced Friday (Dec. 2) that regular weekly performance episodes of "Dancing" will run 90 minutes, and it's added a half-hour results show on Friday nights as well. The second season of the surprise summer hit will debut with a two-hour premiere Thursday, Jan. 5, with the first results show set for 8 p.m. ET the following night.

The Thursday performance episodes are taking the place of "Alias" -- which will go on a planned maternity break for series star/new mom Jennifer Garner -- in January and February.

ABC has also added two more shows to its January slate, the comedy "Crumbs" and the legal drama "In Justice."
"Crumbs," which stars Fred Savage as a writer who moves back to his hometown as his mother (Jane Curtin) is released from a mental facility, will follow "Dancing with the Stars" at 9:30 p.m. ET Thursday starting Jan. 12. Thursday will become a comedy-heavy night in 2006, with NBC expanding its block from one to two hours in January and FOX moving "That '70s Show" and "Stacked" to the night as of March. UPN already has two hours' worth of comedy on the night.

On Fridays, "Hope & Faith" will move up a half-hour to pair with the "Dancing" results show at 8:30. "In Justice," about a team of lawyers that fights to overturn wrongful convictions -- and track down those who are truly guilty -- will fill the 9 p.m. hour starting Jan. 6.

ABC previously announced a new Monday lineup that will fall into place following the end of "Monday Night Football." The comedies "Emily's Reasons Why Not" and "Jake in Progress" and a new season of "The Bachelor" will join holdover "Wife Swap" on the night.
