Hi folks,
Yep, i am new to the forum :) but not new to FTA.
I Recently setup my 8' bud , the previous owner had it set to 131w.
So i put in my pole, turned the dish to 131, made a few minor tweaks to the pole to dish mount. I now have 131 fairly well without changing any settings on the actuator or dish adjustments.

Can i use a 12v car battery to move it all the way to bird 91? or do i risk burning something up? It will be a while before i have the actuator system working from any recievers.
Thanks
Kodaz

Just to add to Phlatwound's and crackt's comments, if you can get power on an extension cord near the Dish a 12 Volt Battery Charger will also work, I have used it many times to cycle my Actuators when servicing them in the Basement.

Thanks for all the answers!!! You have given me an idea on a remote controlled system i am going to play around with.
