going nutzzz!!!!

:) Hi, I have a coolsat 4000 pro with a fortec dish about 1meter. I have 2 Ku-band LNBF's. One has an LO 10.25 and the other LO 11.25 ghz. I have been able to see and scan satellites for 2 days and am going nutz. Between my readings and conversations I have tried so many different things. Can anyone help? Even get me pointed to a good source of information on these items and there capabilities, configuration and the such. :( Please help I have no TV at all for the last couple of days.
I read something about the di-sec and using connections 1 and 4 but can't remember which lnb goes where with what settings. I tried many combinations but usually went from almost nothing to nothing quickly. please respond.
rolleyes: Thank you!

Ok here goes my tips. Make sure that the KU lnb that has the 10.25 LO is positioned dead center on the dish. Place the other lnb beside it. Linear satellites are lower powered and you will need to be aligned correctly to receive the signals. The DBS satellites are higher powered so you can get away with being off a little. As for your Coolsat settings. Make sure the linear satellites are set up like this: LNB power ON, 22 khz OFF, Frequency 10750, and diseqc settings 1.0 and whichever port number you have that lnb plugged into your diseqc switch. It doesn't matter which port you use but you have to use that port number for your Coolsat settings. Same goes for your DBS lnb with the only exception being the Frequency. Use 11250 and what ever port number you plugged the lnb into your diseqc switch.

Hope this helps.

where is it? I am at 32.7N,117.1W,39.7 elevation. I am new so send or post as much detailed information on this as possible. I need all settings available to get some viewable and audioable signals that will ultimately be delivered to my tv; as of now I have only succeeded in finding $$$$$ scrambled channels. I need to see something soon besides angle tv or dish commercials. really not interested in that; would like some viewing enterainment. :yes
Oh yeh; I am using a coolsat 4000 PRO so if you can give specific set up details; it would be extremly helpful. I've been goin' nutz trying to get it on.

Thank you in advance ;)

You could provide your zip code also to receive pointing angles for various satellites. Also, are you using a motor?

Reading problem on my part. :) I think it's old age, can't remember what I read 2 seconds ago so then I ask a dumb question. Sorry 'bout that.
