I am trying to figure out how to hook up my 2nd tuner that runs into my bedroom to a surround sound system. It requires me to us rca cables but as you know it comes in via a coax cable. I have used a vcr just for the tuner but now it is crapped out and they are hard to find anymore. Is there another way to convert from the coax to rca? A rf modulator will not work because it comes out only on ch3-4 and the signal is coming though on the coax on ch 60.

any advice??

If ur backfeed tv has audio outputs ur in good shape...if not, try to aquire one that does. U could posssibly run two coax lines to the location and use radio shack sold rca from coax conversion slpicings to get u what u need.

i wasn't looking for it to be "surround sound" per se' , i just wanted it to be louder than the tv currently is. Just seems to me there would be something that would be sold that would do this. i mean vcr's got cheap in the stores, wonder why you can't just get a tuner that cheap.
