I am new to this site and hopefully I can get some advice. I have Dish 1000 at my home with 3 receivers inside. I am wanting to use my service at some hunting property we own, but am unsure how to do this. I have a second dish that I can use but its a dish 500 will this work with my 1000? Will I have to disconnect one of my boxes and take with me or can I use an extra box that I have had for several years? Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You have to use a box that is currently subscribed. When you aim your 500 at the hunting property you will need to do a check switch to get the receiver to recognize your new dish. When you get back home, you will need to do the check switch again....
