AM21 OTA Tuner question

I realize this is probably a dumb question but I'll ask it anyhow...lol
Is there anyway to integrate a basic cable signal via coaxial with Directv Sat Receiver. What happens if you take out the OTA cable from the back of an AM21 and replace it with cable signal? Nothing I suspect. Assuming that's true (and I realize you can use the tv's built in astc tuner to fulfill this goal) is there a special splitter or coupler that can achieve this?

wont work. Cable uses QAM and the AM21 only uses ATSC. The AM21 wont even get low powered analog (NTSC)
