Amazon Prime Video

While Apple and Amazon can afford it, when one says Disney can't afford something, there is a problem with the price. Might be time to quit and just sell it to everyone if the number works in aggregate.
ESPN is more affected by the loss of per sub fees, if no one left Live TV Providers, they would have 30 Million more paying that fee, that is $330 Million a month they are no longer taking in, almost $4 Billion in a year.

ESPN/ABC lost the Big Ten Contract because it was too much for them, hence why content is split between 7 different channels/streaming services.

Amazon/Apple have so much cash on hand, they can afford the NBA.

I still think it is too much, but sports leagues are known whores, they will go to whomever will pay the price they want.

Look at the NFL, just a few years ago, hardly any games were streaming, now all of them are, some exclusively, they went to where the money is.

NBA will do the same.

Some figures out on what some here have called a failure, lol.

Thursday Night Football has now scored three-straight double-digit gains to open the season.
The latest edition of NFL Thursday Night Football (Lions-Packers) averaged a 6.3 rating and 13.48 million viewers on Amazon Prime Video, up 9% in ratings and 15% in viewership from last year (Dolphins-Bengals: 5.7, 11.72M) and the third-largest TNF audience of the Amazon era.
The three TNF games this season rank as the most-watched since Amazon acquired rights, surpassing all of last season’s games — the most-watched of which was the Chargers-Chiefs opener at 13.03 million.
The Lions’ win, which peaked with 15.29 million viewers, also ranks as the most-watched TNF game in Week 3 of the season since 2019 — with the caveat that games in 2020 and 2021 aired exclusively on NFL Network.
TNF is now averaging 14.14 million viewers this season, up 19% from the first three games last year (11.87M) and up 67% from the comparable point two years ago, when the first three games aired exclusively on NFL Network (8.49M).

Seems like the better teams/games would have something to do with that also, last season they had some really awful teams/games on.

So glad I can include the Lions in the better teams category.
