No problem finding Amazonas at 61.0 degrees. Very strong signal on 11972 V. At first it worked fine, but now if I go to that bird I get a strong signal (if aiming) or a good picture (if viewing) for only 3-4 seconds, at which point the signal level drops way down and the quality goes to zero. I am using a Pansat 3500S.

Is this because the signals are HDTV? Or is HDTV in this context something different - referring to Hispanic * TV, for example.

Thanks for any thoughts you have.

Pete -- Thanks, I suspected as much. I find that if I delete all the tp's and do a blind scan of the sat that all is well until I leave the sat and return -- then things freeze up again!

HUH!!!
