AMC -14 story gets more interesting

Dont know much about the actual satelites but from what i have been reading how big is this bird? It was stated that its low orbit was 500 miles is it possible for it to be captured by a space shuttle and then be redeployed? I just install satelite receivers so most of this is greek to me.

Boeing doesn't want SES to use the lunar flyby.
Boeing wants SES to settle their lawsuit with them first and foremost. If the litigation wasn't ongoing, Boeing probably wouldn't have been so punitive in pricing the licensing of the technology.

As for the contention that Boeing does business with Echostar, look again. Echostar's fleet is made up entirely of non-Boeing satellites and IIRC, they don't currently have anything ordered from Boeing. Echostar seems to be quite comfortable with Lockheed Martin and SSL.

You forget about sealaunch. This is pretty important to Dish.

Apparently there are people who just randomly click on things, and if there's a box you can type in, they do. :) I've sighted two of that strange species tonight.

The FCC approved Dish's request to use TP23 & TP24 on E12 at 61.5 for another 180 days. One condition of the approval was that Dish needs to report on the status of the E3 replacement by June 30th.

See here.

Dish already has this report ready for the FCC. Here's the gist of it:

Don't know about Heaven's above, but Norad still has current TLE's. This ones only a couple hours old and it's still hanging around where it has been

US govt took control of AMC-14 a week ago, and SES took control of Ed Horowitz this morning.
