I was watching fta, and started to smell something hot, I went over to the tv amp, it was hot, and it shocked me, what happned?

Sounds like your tv is biteing back at you 
... The only thing that has an amp is My OTA. I know my FTA system doesnt have an amp. Is it possible that your system is some how wired incorrectly?

i dont know how many times i have seen people put ota amps in the satellite line thinking it would help their signal
