Hey, I have a 8' mast that I'm going to add to a 10' pole from the ground. I'm going to put the 8 footer in a rotator, the problem is the pole is only an inch in diameter a little small for the rotator.

What can I use besides wasting a bunch of duct tape to make the pole thick enough to fit in the rotator?

Thanks in advance,
Ben
:D   :shocked

Replace with a suitable length of galvanized water pipe.
Cheaper and stronger than most antenna masts, and does not rust.
Go to your local hardware or home improvement center and see
what is available.

I especially like one inch nominal aluminum pipe with an actual diameter of 1.31 inches.

However, they mak a grey rubber donut for fitting a washing machine drain to a standpipe.

Another alternative is clear vinyl tubing sold at Lowes or Home Depot. A five or six inch length of the appropriate inner diameter may be used to fit over the tubing. If the diameter is too large, slit it lengthwise and remove a small radial sectiom.

Cheapest of all galvanized tubing is 1-3/8 inch actual diameter chain link fence top rail. One end is swaged to fit into another piece of tubing like much more expense antenna masts. And, it is more resistant to rust than regular antenna masts.
