I've got 3 508's with outdated smart cards. Have not had them active for +/- 5 years. I've looked at ebay and there is a fair number for sale. I see that the 508's are being replaced by Dish. Wondering if I might just be better off junking them. Any suggestions ? Thanks !

If you have outdated smartcards it would be $50 to order a current smartcard in order for them to be activated on an account. So it would really depend on what they are selling for on ebay.
You could activate them on your account and get free upgrades of the cards and over about the next 6 mo. upgrade them to leased 512s.WOULD THAT REALLY MAKE ANY SENSE? Just trash them you did it 5 years ago just never made it to the can.
heck try and sell them. There are idiots who still buy 721's and 921's on EBay and Dish hasnt activated those in at least a year
