I'm getting frustrated, since all the usenet stuff was added there are several hundred new posts to wade thru every time I login. It would be nice if I could pick and choose which forums are visible, or turn the usenet stuff off completely. Especially rec.arts.tv.

At home (XP SP2) I can use the "new posts" pulldown and choose what to view, for some reason the Win2003 flavor of IE that I'm using at work does not show the pulldown, it just shows me everything new.

You answered your own question. :) Use the New Posts Option. On your other browser make sure java and javascript are turned on. :)

All the java stuff IS turned on but I bet it's one of the overzealous security options they put in server 2003 that's disabling it. Will check on it tomorrow.

That should teach you not to use a server as a Personal Computer, Pepper. :)
