Anyone use OTA antenna only during storms?

I rush typed but was trying to make a quick point. It is our HOA. Now, if financially I could not afford alternate means for TV and the smaller antennas did not work then yes, I probably would have found this reference and said: SEE, Chop says it's OK! ;)

If Deadlocked is still interested and has an extra $209, yes 209 dollars, laying around you can get a used USB now:

Sticky thread indicatring that hOASS cannot do that.

No town can outlaw roof mounted antennas. OTARD.

An
HOAs cannot ban them either.

Depends. If it is single family, no, as long as it is not installed in a common area.. If it is a multi-family (say a condo) they can restrict them from common areas (roofs, yards, etc.).

https://www.fcc.gov/media/over-air-reception-devices-rule

The rule does not apply to common areas that are owned by a landlord, a community association, or jointly by condominium or cooperative owners where the antenna user does not have an exclusive use area. Such common areas may include the roof or exterior wall of a multiple dwelling unit. Therefore, restrictions on antennas installed in or on such common areas are enforceable.
