This has already been asked and answered but I can't find it under search.

I record a lot of shows with the intent of putting them on a HDD disc to watch later or on one of my Archos players. At least 50% of the time I get a message that I can't move the movie because of DRM.

It's almost come to the point of being rediculous. I basically pay for movies two times to watch them on my Archos - 3 times if you consider that I probably own the movie on DVD. It is really pissing me off. (yeah I know that I can rip my dvd's but I don't have all that time and I shouldn't have to do that anyway). I end up buying movies because you can guarantee my kids will get hold of it and run a movie for 2 minutes so 24 hours later they are just a dead file on my Archos.

Anyone come up with good easy solutions?

Thank your Hollywood obscene profits group for this wonderful gift to the American people.

They want to limit the time frame you may watch a recorded PPV show, so you must repurchase it to see it again.

I've heard they even have DVD's now that self destruct after 2-3 days.

If we keep buyin' it they'll keep dish'n it out.

Yes.

Anyone willing to comment on PQ of something moved from a Dish receiver to an Archos and then displayed on a 27" or 61" TV? Yes, I know it will be SD.

The stuff that I download to my 605 then playback on my 42" Plasma is pretty good. A heck of a lot better than I would have thought. I love my 605.
