'Arrow,' 'The Flash' Crossover Episodes: Date, Time, And Titles Released For Both Shows http://www.ibtimes.com/arrow-flash-crossover-episodes-date-time-titles-released-both-shows-1720232
Fans have been getting excited about “The Flash”-“Arrow” crossover episodes on the CW, but aside from the knowledge that the special event will fall on the eighth episode of both shows’ current seasons, viewers have been left in the dark about exactly what the date or schedule of the episode (or episodes) will be. Well, not anymore. TV Line has reported the date and episode titles of both shows’ crossover fun.
Apparently, the two-hour crossover will take place on two separate nights, not as a combined episode. Although fans knew a two-hour crossover was coming, the actual format of the event was a little unclear, especially since an off-week for “The Flash” means episode 8 of each show might not fall on the same week. Both shows will air their crossover episodes in the same week in their regular time slots. “The Flash” will go first with “Flash vs. Arrow” on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 8 p.m. EST, while “Arrow” will follow Wednesday, Dec. 3, with “The Brave and the Bold” at 8 p.m. EST.
‘Arrow’ Recap: ‘The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak’ http://spinoff.comicbookresources.com/2014/11/06/arrow-recap-the-secret-origin-of-felicity-smoak/
Felicity Smoak has become the heart and soul of the CW version of the DC Universe, serving as an inspiration to two heroes, The Flash and Arrow. The dark and driven Oliver Queen has expressed his love and admiration for Felicity on more than one occasion, as has the bright and hopeful Barry Allen. She has no superpowers, but Felicity Smoak has made a difference in the DC Universe. And finally, after 50 episodes, Arrow this week revealed who she was before becoming entangled with Oliver Queen, in the aptly titled “Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak.Nowhere is the difference between Felicity and the rest of the players on Arrow more evident than in the opening workout montage. We see Oliver and Roy Harper stick fighting, Laurel Lance and Ted Grant boxing and Malcolm Merlyn and Thea Queen practicing their swordsmanship, but Felicity, dear, normal Felicity, is struggling with a few simple sit-ups. The sequence plays well for comedic effect, but it also drives home that she survives (and thrives) in the violent world of Starling City through her wits and will. From there, Felicity is visited by the always-welcome Ray Palmer, and, surprisingly, by her mother Donna (played by Charlotte Ross), which brings us to the meat of the episode.

The crafty creatives behind The CW’s Arrow (Wednesdays at 8/7c) are famously loath to reveal too much, so as to keep the superhero drama’s many mysteries and mythologies churning. But during our in-depth conversation with Marc Guggenheim, the showrunner put to rest at least one theory that’s making rounds, while also teasing this week’s exploration of Ted Grant’s “Wildcat” alter ego (and how it will shed light on Starling City’s pre-Arrow vigilante past), the imminent moment fans have long waited for, Sara’s “return” and a juicy reveal to be unleashed during the two-night crossover with The Flash.

Arrow First Look: Katie Cassidy as Black Canary — When Will She Debut? https://tv.yahoo.com/news/arrow-sta...canary-transformation-complete-201000200.html
The CW’s Arrow has released the first images of Katie Cassidy in her Black Canary getup, and, um, bulls-eye!The seed for the passing of the baton bo staff was planted in the Season 2 finale, when Sara left Starling City to rejoin the League of Assassins, but first gifted her sister with her leather jacket. But ever since Sara’s subsequent death in the Season 3 premiere, Laurel has been on a mission to avenge the tragedy, and to that end has been training with boxer/former vigilante Ted “Wildcat” Grant to fulfill, as show boss Marc Guggenheim puts it, “her comic book trajectory.” These photos are tagged with the episode title “Left Behind,” suggesting that Laurel will pour herself into the leather, buckles and wig in the midseason premiere aka Episode 10 airing sometime in January 2015, the first outing after the show breaks for the holidays on Dec. 10.

The CW released the first images “Arrow” star Katie Cassidy as the Black Canary on Wednesday.Cassidy's character, Laurel Lance, has been poised to become the butt-kicking DC Comics superheroine since the series began, but it has been a slow transformation. The images are attached to Season 3's 10th episode, titled “Left Behind,” which doesn't yet have an air date.As TheWrap previously reported, Vinnie Jones (“Snatch”) will debut in that episode as the villain Brick.Black Canary was previously embodied by Laurel's sister, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), but the character was shot through the heart with an arrow and killed in the October premiere. It was a game-changing event for the show's band of heroes and has dictated much of Season 3's plot, including Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) search for Sara's murderer and Laurel's vow to avenge her sister's death.Shortly thereafter, Laurel began training with Ted Grant (J.R. Ramirez). The past few episodes have shown her slowly evolve into a more action-oriented character and Wednesday's episode is expected to focus heavily on her growth as fighter, as well as her relationship with Ted, who will eventually become the DC superhero Wildcat.

5 Things to Know From the Special ‘Arrow'-'The Flash’ Crossover Fan Screening https://tv.yahoo.com/news/5-things-know-special-arrow-flash-crossover-fan-101800837.html
The shared universe between The CW superhero shows “Arrow” and “The Flash” has been teased and was inevitable since before “The Flash” even became a real show, with Barry Allen first showing up on an episode of “Arrow” last season. But now the show is real — and a mega-hit — and so is a real crossover event, and at a special screening of the two episodes on Saturday, cast members and showrunners teased how it came together and what ramifications the episodes will have for the heroes of both shows.“The Flash” kicks things off with Team Arrow – Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) — landing in Central City as characters from both shows team up try to track down a rage-inducing meta-human.And as the episode is aptly titled “Flash vs Arrow,” it will pit Oliver Queen against Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) in a head-to-head superhero showdown that's been in the works for a long time.“We're all fans, and we've all sat around debating who would win in a fight, like Batman or Superman or Wolverine,” said Andrew Kreisberg, an executive producer on both shows, during the Q&A. “So the idea that [Arrow and Flash] would fight each other in one of these episodes was one of our earliest ideas. The idea of cast members having that Comic-Con argument on camera — it was one of our earliest ideas.”The following night, it's back to Starling City on “Arrow” episode “The Bold and the Brave,” which will feature Team Arrow getting some assistance from Barry and S.T.A.R. Labs’ Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) as Captain Boomerang (Nick Tarabay) continues to wreak havoc and puts one of their own in danger.Below are five things to know about the big “Arrow”-”Flash” crossover event:

'Arrow,' 'Flash' Cast, Creators Preview Epic Crossover https://www.yahoo.com/music/s/arrow-flash-cast-creators-preview-epic-crossover-050022165.html
Arrow and The Flash have staged mini-crossovers during the past year — Barry, Cisco and Caitlin made their debuts in the second season of Arrow, while Felicity and Oliver have appeared in The Flash's first season. But during the Dec. 2 episode of The Flash and the Dec. 3 episode of Arrow, there will be a full-fledged crossover event between the CW DC Comics shows."If there is anybody who is watching only one of the shows, [this is an opportunity] to sort of check out the other," Arrow and The Flash executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told The Hollywood Reporter on Saturday ahead of a fan-screening of the crossover episodes. "You don't always get that opportunity ... but I really feel like there are so many similarities between the shows, as much as there are differences. This was such a great opportunity to give the best of everything we do on both shows: it has great Arrow stunts, it has great Flash humor and heart. We're just really excited."
Here are seven things to know about the big crossover event.

Stephen Amell Dishes On Filming 'Flash Vs. Arrow' Fight! https://tv.yahoo.com/news/stephen-amell-dishes-filming-flash-vs-arrow-fight-210039843.html
"Flash Vs. Arrow" is coming to The CW on December 2, and filming the episode, which features a fight between the two heroes, provided a new challenge for Stephen Amell. The "Arrow" star had to do quite a bit of slow motion acting for the big face off against Grant Gustin's Barry Allen/The Flash, which occurs in the first episode (on "The Flash") of the two-night crossover event."There are a couple of different things when we're fighting in 'The Flash' world that we do that we never do on 'Arrow,'" Stephen told Access Hollywood on the black carpet at the special fan screening of the two episodes at The Crest Theatre in Westwood, Calif., on Saturday night.

Confirmed: Batman And Superman Are Off-Limits For Arrow And The Flash http://io9.com/confirmed-batman-and-superman-are-off-limits-for-arrow-1662696484
It shouldn't come as a huge surprise, but The Flash and Arrow producer Andrew Kreisberg has confirmed that the Emerald Archer and the Scarlet Speedster won't be stopping by Gotham City or Metropolis anytime soon.Just like the Smallville TV series wasn't allowed to incorporate Batman or Wonder Woman, but had full access to the rest of the DC universe, it appears that the new DC TV universe created by showrunner Greg Berlanti shares the same restriction. Here's Kreisberg explaining the situation at a recent fan screening of the Arrow/Flash crossover:"There are things we can do, and there are things we can't," said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. "I'm a huge fan of Nightwing. But there are cities we can use, and then there's everything else. You won't be hearing Gotham or Metropolis on the show anytime soon."
Obviously Kreisberg only mentions the cities are off limits, but it makes zero sense to forbid the characters from visiting the iconic homes of Batman and Superman unless they're not allowed to hang out with Batman or Superman, period. I feel perfectly safe in making this assumption, although I will happily correct this if I'm wrong. Not that any of WB's policy here makes sense. Batman and Superman are not allowed to guest star on any of DC's shows. WB/DC can make shows specifically about Batman and Superman, as long as they are set in a time when they are not actively wearing their costumes — e.g., Smallville and Gotham. However, Arrow is allowed to use Nightwing and his city of Bludhaven, because... I have no freaking clue. What is the deal? Why won't WB/DC let Batman and Superman proper come to TV? Are Batman 1966 and The Adventures of Lois & Clark really going to be the greatest live-action television versions of DC's two greatest heroes? Are Mr. Mxyzptlk and Bat-Mite behind this somehow?
