This week, rental car giant Avis said it will include XM service at no additional cost for customers renting a luxury or premium vehicle.
It's expected about 20,000 XM-equipped model year 2004 GM vehicles will be available to Avis customers nationwide by the end of the year, the companies said.
To celebrate XM reaching its 1 million subscriber milestone this week, and in connection with Avis' sponsorship of the ING New York City Marathon, Avis is offering "It's About the Drive" scratch and win tickets to car renters in the New York area through Nov. 15. Prizes include $15 off a weekly rental, a free weekend rental, a free weekly rental and a free XM Satellite Radio with a year of service.
