Here's 1 I did a couple weeks ago. It was a booger drilling into that rock.

I also did the old dish system, ea is on a pole & the 500 for 110 I left in place so it will be an easy install when they switch back down the road.

Wow, I don't know if I should say great job or what the hell was you thinking!? ;)

No extra pay & didn't charge any custom labor. The retail side of things does pay decent to begin with. Most of my tv work is word of mouth. That said I'm not really in a position to turn work down if there is any possibility of it going in.

I ask myself that question often. :D

What did you use to drill into the rock? What kind of rock is that?

Don't know what kind of rock it is, it was a very hard material to drill into.

Used an ac powered hammer drill. Drilled small pilot holes first, then 1/2" holes for the lead anchors.

My in-laws did the same with a tree that they cut down. They left the last three feet of a tree they cut down, to attach the dish to.

Ah, that's what I use here too, a hammer drill, only air powered. I was hoping you'd had a better way! I've had to drill into the ledge rock around here a few times and it's a real PITA. The whole area here is all granite ledge.
