I know the usb ports don't work on the unit so I have been thinking about hooking an dvd recorder up as I would a VCR. I guess I would just press record to VCR and it would burn to DVD instead. Anyway, my question is what are the best DVD recorders on the market to do this. Has anyone else done this with the R15. The one I've been looking at is the RCA DRC8060N DVD RECORDER and it sounds good. Any opinions would be great.

AVSForums has a lot of information on DVD Recorders...see link below. I like he panasonic recorders and have had good luck with them (have 2). Both of them are hooked up to a HR20-700 DVR. As with the R15, you just hit record on the DVD recorder just like you would with a VHS recorder
