I have grandmother that just needs TV... nothing special. Maybe a DPP44 setup for future proof might be nice.

What is the best way to sign her up... Lowest cost etc?

Is there anyway to avoid the 5 receiver fee?

Also if I order from Dishstore will someone come install the dish/switch?

You will have an additional receiver fee for every receiver beyond the 1st one. If you have 2 receivers you will have one fee of $5 or $6 depending on the model. Remember you can run up to 4 tv's with 2 receivers.

PM Claude Greiner he will help you.

For grandma I would get something really simple such as two 311 receivers and order two easy remotes but you have to ask yourself if your grandmother is tech savy at all, if not then all your going to be doing is giving her a headache wich well intentioned children and grandchildren giving retired parents and grandparents satellite was a common trouble call that I dealt with. If grandma isnt tech savy then your going to spend atleast a month on a daily basis helping her to learn how to use it and to make sure that she leaves the tv itsself on channel 3. The only way to avoid a 5 receiver fee is to get two dual tuners and a single, this will leave you with two additional receiver fee's but you have to have both dual tuners connected to a working phone line to get what your looking for.
