I moved to a house with a bird view dish outside. I have a 4dtv reciever I brought with me. What I need to know is if I need to take the bird view dish down and put up my mesh dish. Or will the 4dtv work okay with the birdview dish and motor.

thanks in advance.

Birdview dish won't work without modification. At one time, Skyvision had feed and drive conversion kits. I converted mine by taking the feed to a machine shop and having it machined to fit a Chaparral feedhorn. I added a reed switch to the H to H mount. Worked great for a long time and probably still is. Left it in Arkansas when I moved to Florida. Wished many I still had it.
